The holiday season is approaching along with its period of soul-searching during which many of us review and summarize the year that has past and, at the same time, optimistically look ahead towards the new year about to begin.

The year, 2010-2011 will be remembered as an extraordinary year in terms of the variety of cultural events offered in the city, to a variety of populations, and at affordable prices.  This year, we were treated to spectacular performances at the Raanana Park Amphitheater, including Shlomi Shabbat, Ethnix and Mashina.  In the coming months, we will enjoy Shlomo Artzi and the Miyumana Troupe in concert.  At the Municipal HaMishkan Center for Music and Art, a myriad of activities and performances were on offer, and at the Gallery by the Lake, 12 different exhibitions were on display, which attracted thousands of visitors from among the city’s art aficionados. 

Raanana youth enjoyed their summer vacation by participating in the Summer City Nights activities, and nostalgic tours of the city were held to remind residents of Raanana’s history.  Next year we will celebrate Raanana’s 90th anniversary.

These are just a few of the wide variety of cultural activities on offer to the city’s residents.  In the coming months, we will offer many new activities designed to suit all tastes and ages.

On Wednesday, 21.9.2011 at 20:30, in honor of the new year, we will hold a festive performance featuring singer, Shlomit Aharon, together with the three tenors.  The event will be held at the Yad LaBanim Plaza in the city center, admission is free and you are all welcome to attend.
