The event was attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree, who came to address the city’s volunteers, and City Councilwoman, Bella Tzur, representatives of the social service division, volunteer pensioners and directors of volunteer organizations.

Hundreds of Raanana volunteers take part in activities on behalf of different populations:  children, youth, special needs, seniors.

Mayor Nahum Hofree thanked the volunteers:  “This is a wonderful expression of our community.  It is a community where the residents care about and give back to their fellow man.  There is reciprocal responsibility and a desire to give of oneself on behalf of others.  It warms my heart to witness the amount of giving and investment of our residents who take part in volunteer activity.”
