: This week, Mayor Nahum Hofree hosted the four athletes in his office and wished them the best of luck on their upcoming competition.
According to Mayor Nahum Hofree: “The participation of these athletes in the competition is a source of honor for our city. Above all, it expresses the victory of the human spirit and the belief that every person can realize his potential, while overcoming obstacles and limitations.”
“Raanana promotes activity on behalf of people with special needs, as part of its philosophy of providing each and every person with an opportunity to reach his potential as an equal among equals in society,” adds Hofree.
The four Raanana athletes, young women ages 20-25 will compete in basketball, bowling and table tennis. As part of the annual competition, the host country invites the participating athletes, together with their parents and trainers, for a three day visit to one of the nearby cities, prior to the competition for hospitality and fun.
