The Raanana Municipality continues its activity to encourage its residents to take part in sports as part of a healthy lifestyle.

This week, 23 types of new quality sports and active leisure equipment were installed near the roller rink at the Raanana Park.  The new equipment is especially designed for different types of sports including: rowing equipment; sports equipment to strengthen the back, chest and stomach muscles; bicycles; a ski machine, etc.  The equipment is available to residents, over the age of 14, free of charge, and instructions on how to operate the equipment are posted near each type of equipment.  All the equipment is approved by the Israel Standards Institute.

The new equipment at Raanana Park is similar to the installation of sports and active leisure equipment at the lawn near the Sporteque, which has been in operation for the past two years, and which attracts people of all ages to take part in physical activity.

Mayor Nahum Hofree:  “The Raanana Municipality invests a great deal to ensure the welfare of its residents and to encourage them to participate in amateur and competitive sports.  The new equipment will enable the public at large to become physically active at a venue which is accessible, available and free of charge.”
