Mayor:  “The program provides a solution for many of the bereaved parents whose last wish is to be buried next to their children.

The decision is an important step and part of our brave, warm and close relationship with the bereaved families”

At the beginning of the month, the Planning and Construction Subcommittee approved the allocation of burial plots for Raanana’s bereaved parents at the public municipal cemetery on Klauzner Street.

The plots will be in an area adjacent to the military section of the cemetery, and can accommodate about one hundred graves.

The decision is designed to enable Raanana’s bereaved parents to be buried next to the graves of their loved ones, IDF fallen soldiers, who are buried in the military section.

Final details are being completed at present for the issuing of building permits.

Mayor Nahum Hofree:  “The city of Raanana warmly embraces its bereaved families and this plan provides a solution for the many bereaved parents whose last wish is to be buried near their children.  I applaud this decision and consider it to be an important step for   our brave, warm and close relationship with the bereaved families.”
