The tender committee has unanimously selected Yehuda Cohen for the position of principal of the Roi Klein Religious High School in Raanana.

Yehuda Cohen will replace Yuval Kaplinsky who has requested to leave this position at the end of the present school year.

Yehuda Cohen, resident of Tzofim, has a masters degree in Jewish studies and one of the founders of his community.  He has extensive experience and seniority in the field of education and is highly thought of in the education community and at the Ministry of Education.

Among his various positions, Yehuda Cohen served as the director of the dorm at Yeshivat Aderet, a teacher at Petach Tikva’s Maaleh School and School Rabbi at Rogozin School in Or Yehuda.  During those years, he was instrumental in the founding of the Peduel Pre-military yeshiva academy, and directed it for a one year period.

In 2004-2006, he served as principal of the Maalot Neria School in Bnei Brak, which he founded as a growing middle school and later as a six year high school.  During those years, under his helm, the school received high praise for its management and was awarded two education prizes – the religious education prize for 2004 and the general education prize from the President of Israel for 2005.

The municipality, the school administration and the education ministry are currently preparing for his entry into the new position at the beginning of the new school year, and a meeting between the new principal and the student body, parents and new students is scheduled.

The Raanana Municipality is also planning to publish a tender for the position of principal of Roi Klein’s middle school, in the coming days.
