Many of the city’s residents followed Mayor Nahum Hofree’s directive to turn out the lights at the designated hour, and the city benefited from a 4.4% decrease in electricity consumption. The lights out ceremony was held at the Aviv High School Sports Hall, where Mayor Nahum Hofree turned out the lights in the gym during the volleyball match of the Municipal Mamanet League.
