: Thousands of costumed students, led by Mayor Nahum Hofree and accompanied by floats will march along Ahuza St in this year’s exciting Adloyada parade held in honor of Purim. . The Adloyada, a Ra’anana tradition stretching back more than 20 years, is a joint creative municipal project involving students, parents, teachers and other partners. It features a variety of artistic disciplines. This year’s parade will include students from 13 elementary schools and will feature 15 decorated floats, school marching bands, dance ensembles and giant displays. . The actual Purim Parade was delayed for a week because of inclement weather and will be held this coming Friday, 5.3.2010 at 10:30. The theme of this year’s parade is “Carnival of Nature’s Colors” and will it feature floats and costumes dedicated to this theme as well as environmental protection, love of nature and the land.
The Park Raanana train carrying children in costumes will lead the parade followed by various schools. Each school will present a unique theme which represents their educational and artistic capabilities.
Some of the schools participating include: Yavneh (Butterflies in Nature), Bartuv (Flowers of Eretz Yisrael), Dekel (All the Notes In The Rainbow),Yonatan (Thinking Birds), Aviv (Man and Nature), Ostrovsky (Talk to me with Flowers), Almog (Carnival in the Jungle), Beit Hayotzer ( Swan Lake).
