The Ministry of the Interior will present Raanana with the Haim Koversky Proper Management Award for 2009. The awards ceremony to be held next month, will present the awards to the city of Raanana and dozens of other Israeli local authorities.
The award will be presented to Raanana after its having met the budgetary management rules in 2008, as set down by the Interior Ministry, including: regular deficit up to 1% of the approved budget, accrued deficit up to 12.5% of the approved budget, management expenses of up to 16% of the approved budget and city taxes of over 60% of the debit.
This award joins a list of awards and prizes that have been granted to the Raanana Municipality thanks to its efforts, high quality varied of services and its management. S&P Maalot Rating Company ranked Raanana as AA + for 2009. In a survey conducted by Talmas, Raanana was ranked as first in the country in terms of residents’ satisfaction for 2008 and DeMarker newspaper ranked Raanana in first place among Israel’s cities for 2008.
