:The Raanana Municipality will hold its 2010 IDF Inductees Conference at Bach Golani, as part of the municipal effort to raise motivation to pursue a meaningful army service in the IDF and a contribution to the State of Israel.

: The inductees conference will be held on Tuesday, 16.3.10 at Bach Golani Training Base and attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree and Deputy Mayor Ronit Weintraub – director of the Culture, Youth and Leisure Division. The Raanana inductees will leave from their schools to the army base for a rich and diverse program that will include meetings with the base commander, a weapons presentation, a firing demonstration, lunch, a combat panel, a battle heritage film, dinner and a performance by singer, Mush Ben Ari and an army entertainment troupe.
The conference is the cooperative effort between the education division and the youth and young adults department, and is part of the municipal program in conjunction with army units, to prepare youth for their military service, to strengthen values and motivation.
The IDF preparatory program implemented by the city includes all the high school students and includes preparation for military tests and assessments, a meeting with an IDF representatives on the subject of the first IDF call up, preparation for the psychometric exam, a visit to the induction base, participation in the 5-day MASA Yisraeli trip to strengthen their sense of belonging to the history and heritage of Israel, tours in the footsteps of historical battles, activities and lectures by top officers on the subject of service and its significance and stories of historic battles, and lectures for new immigrant youth and their families about the IDF and the importance of service, etc.
Mayor Nahum Hofree: “The Raanana Municipality is proud to lead this comprehensive program designed to strengthen Zionistic values and increase motivation to serve in the IDF with a sense of mission and pride. We believe that we must lead and cultivate values of social involvement, contribution of the country and personal responsibility among our younger generation.”
