:Once again this summer, the municipality will offer a wide variety summer camps for the city’s children and youth during the summer vacation.

: This year, the municipality will run 34 “Dream Summer” Camps, offered by the Supplementary Education Division. A wide variety of interest fields are offered, and each child, from preschool to high school age, can find a camp to meet his or her needs. Programs include enrichment and tutoring courses in various scholastic subjects.
• Sports Camps: Volleyball, tennis, basketball, girls’ basketball, martial arts, soccer and handball. • Arts and Performing Arts Camps: Film Camp, Drumming Camp, Music, Dance, Art, Theater, Magic and Tricks, To Be a Star, Musicals and Dream Camp. • Young Doctors Camp: Visits to operating rooms, anatomy lessons, CPR, and alternative medicine. • Computer Camp • Hi-tech Science and Space Camp: Learn about new developments in the fields of technology, logic, and robotics. • Media and Communications Camp • Nature, Animals and Experiences Camp: The students gain experience in the fields of nature and animals, and the use of recycled materials. • Cooking Camp: Children learn about various styles of cooking. • Torani Camp: Summer of Torah and fun, with nature and field days. • Around the World Camp: Tastes and experiences from international cultures. • Summer School: A camp that offers experiential learning of the English language, throughout all the camp activities. • Life University Camp: Young leadership, environmental sculpture and practical art, coaching, yard games, family album, managing allowance, cooking. • Green Camp: Ecological garden, green architecture, yard games, water conservation, making oil and soap, Yoga, healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition. • Summer Courses: Enable students to improve their knowledge of English, mathematics, grammar, French and Arabic and participated in a learning strategies workshop to develop study habits, concentration, coping with test anxiety and developing memory and thinking.
The municipal camps will be run at the gyms at the different schools, at the municipal tennis center, the HaMishkan Center, Eshkol Hapais, the Young Music Center, the Art Center, the New Community Center, Raanana Park and the Municipal Sports Arena. First Session will run from 4.7.10 – 25.7.10 Second Session will run from 26.7.10 – 8.8.10
Once again, this year, a third session will be offered called “Closing the Summer”. This is a unique service offered by the municipality during the last two weeks of the summer and is designed for children in kindergarten and grades 1 to 6. The camp will be held at the New Community Center on Ostrovsky Street in two 1-week sessions: 15.8.10 - 19.8.10 and 22.8.10-26.8.10.
