The municipality will invest NIS 30 million in renovation, upgrade and safety work at the city’s schools and preschools

The Raanana Municipality will invest NIS 30 million in a renovation, construction, upgrade and safety project at the city’s educational institutions.

The summer renovation project will include the city’s 24 schools and 83 preschools, of which 29 preschools will be extensively renovated including repair of hazards, infrastructure, refreshing the façade, replacing windows and bars, repair of safety hazards, rubber surfaces, renovation of the restrooms and installation of acoustic ceilings.

Among the main projects planned for the schools:  Pa’amonim School (stage 2 construction including a spacious gym, an additional wing and six classrooms), Amit Renanim High School construction of an additional wing, 3 classrooms including a physics lab, accessibility for the disabled), Roi Klein High School (adapting the Music Center building to the needs of the school and building a science lab), Ostrovsky High School (widening the hallways, renovating the entrance), Yonatan Middle School (ecological yard development), Hasharon Middle School (construction of a state of the art science lab for the school and the gifted class), Bartov Elementary School (covering for the sports field), Ariel Elementary School (an additional wing, 6 classrooms), Bilu Elementary School (replacing the infrastructure in the lab), Hashachar Compound – The Department for Youth Advancement (moving the present building to the new building which will meet the needs of the youth and faculty).

Access for the disabled, elevators will be installed at MOR Metrowest, Yavneh and Bartov Schools.

New Horizon:  The necessary modifications will be executed for Yachdav, Hadar, Dekel and Shaked Schools who will begin the program this coming school year:  private corners, work corners for the teachers, computers.

Computerization:  As part of the “Computer for Every Teacher” Project, the appropriate infrastructure will be installed at all the schools and will include wireless networks, projectors, installing an “orange” classroom at the Rimon Middle School, upgrade of the computer labs and acquisition of the proper equipment.
