: Leket Israel is a charitable organization that is engaged in collecting surplus food and industrial products, saving agricultural products and collecting and saving cooked food, distributing sandwiches to students etc. – all on behalf of Israel’s needy.
In honor of Rosh Chodesh Shvat, the students took part in the picking of radishes at the Shiler Kibbutz near Rehovot and picked oranges from private gardens in Raanana of families who donated their citrus fruit to the needy.
This activity is part of the efforts to teach values of volunteering at Roi Klein High School, the city’s religious boys high school. In addition to encouraging contribution to the community, the school promotes excellence in education well known in Raanana: enrichment activities, developing creative thought, robotics team, sports club and a choir.
