Over 1,000 young soccer players participated in the winter tournament final of the Raanana Batei Hatalmid.  Medals were awarded to the Goal Kings

The 2010 Batei Hatalmid Junior Soccer Tournament Finals were held this week, and 1,000 children participated who attend soccer practice at Raanana’s Batei Hatalmid. 

This is the 19th consecutive year for this tournament, which is the culmination of the soccer activity offered all year, as part of the Informal Education Administration’s Supplementary Education Division’s Batei Hatalmid, in cooperation with Hapoel Raanana and the Sports Authority.

Hapoel Raanana players participated in the finals and who will now proceed to the Toto Trophy Finals this week as part of the senior group, including Gil Cooper and Raz Cohen who took their first steps as part of the Soccer Academy of the Batei Hatalmid.

The finals were held at the Municipal Sports Arena and included 20 of the 100 Raanana teams that participated in the tournament.

Attending the trophy award ceremony was Mayor Nahum Hofree and Deputy Mayor Aryeh Friedman (director of informal education) and Asher Alon, chairman of Hapoel Raanana.

In first place for 1st grades:  Noam Beit Hatalmid
In first place for 2nd grades:  Bartov Beit Hatalmid
In first place for 3rd grades:  Dekel Beit Hatalmid
In first place for 4th grades:  Ariel Beit Hatalmid
In first place for 5th-6th grades:  Shaked Beit Hatalmid

Individual medals will be presented to the ‘Goal Kings’ and outstanding players in each grade level.  All children taking part in the tournament will receive a medal for participation.
