: The Director General of Israel Postal Services has enlisted Mayor Nahum Hofree to try this service
Raanana was selected by the Israel Postal Services as the first Israeli city to conduct a pilot for its new service iPOST, launched by the company. Avi Hochman, director general of the Israel Postal Services, has enlisted Raanana Mayor Nahum Hofree to try this new service.
The new service offers a one stop method of managing bills and official mail. It is a secure and personal internet post box used to store electronic mail for a period of 7 years. The service enables you to manage and monitor the transactions and documents, to sort and file them without paperwork, with the simple click of a mouse. In addition, you can connect to the Postal Bank’s payment website and receive your bills which can be paid in the iPOST box.
At this stage, you can join the service at any of Raanana’s post offices. A registration station will be available at the Renanim Mall and other places around Raanana from 3.1.10 – 12.2.10.
Mayor Nahum Hofree: “The new service is a part of the Raanana vision as a smart city, continuously expanding its technological services and enlisting the most advanced technologies to strengthen its link with its residents and their welfare. The new service is also environmentally friendly as it will reduce the use of paper by storing computerized information over time.”
Israel Postal Service Director General, Avi Hochman: “The iPOST service is offered free to all Israeli citizens and is part of the Postal Services strategy of offering innovative services to the public at large.
