The Civil Guard’s jeep department is currently recruiting new volunteers to its ranks.

The jeep department has been working in Raanana for over five years and is comprised of dozens of volunteers who have decided to volunteer on behalf of the community.

As part of the expansion of the activity, there is a need for adult volunteers   (both men and women), who have completed their army service and are up to 64 years of age, who are in good physical shape.  Preference is given to those with a 4 X 4 vehicle.

The volunteers will work primarily at night and assist in different areas:  perimeter
security patrols, increasing the presence in residential and industrial areas, help in locating missing persons, alerts, etc.

Residents who are interested are invited to contact the Mishmar Ezrachi (Civil Guard) station, where they will be interviewed and screened before training as volunteers.

Raanana is one of the safest cities in Israel, and significant municipal resources are invested in securing the excellent quality of life in the city, including the safety and security of all the residents.  The municipality operates a unique model that includes municipal security patrols working 24/7 and providing quick, available professional assistance. The security patrols work together with the city’s integrated police patrols and the Civil Guard.

Mayor Nahum Hofree:  “Volunteering in the jeep department is an important facet of the Raanana community, where residents contribute to the community out of a sense of social commitment and desire to make a difference.”
