Hundreds of Raanana seniors participated in a cultural evening for the senior population held at the Yad LaBanim auditorium, and included an performance by singers Ilana Grishkov, with international songs; the Asner brothers accompanied by singers from the legendary Nahal Entertainment Troupe:  Shula Hen, Miri Aloni and Ofira Gluska.

The event was held by the Social Services Division, the Department of Welfare for the Senior Population and sponsored by the Ministry for Pensioners’ Affairs.  It was attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree and City Councilwoman, Bella Tzur - advisor to the Mayor on accessibility and responsible for the welfare field; Ministry for Pensioners’ Affairs representative, Batsheva Tauchler; municipal managers and employees.

The event was colorful and unique and students of Yeshivat Bnei Akiva presented each senior with a flower during the course of the evening.

Mayor Nahum Hofree:  “The Raanana Municipality invest a great deal in developing and promoting programs to enrich the leisure time for the city’s senior population.  The participation of hundreds of seniors at the cultural event indicates the success of our activity on behalf of the welfare of the senior population.”
