The Municipal College will open its doors this September, with a new rich curriculum and entitled “The Municipal Center for Education and Enrichment”.  The college will consolidate, under one roof, the activity of four known educational institutions:  the Katedra Ha’amamit (the Blue Building), the Education Center, Beit Hamechanech and the Center for Parenting and the Family.

The consolidation of these four centers under one roof is designed to provide a rich variety of workshops, classes, courses, seminars and events from all worlds of content, for all ages and sectors of the population, private, public, teachers, seniors, etc.

The Center for Education includes a Hebrew language Ulpan, professional training for professions such as bookkeeping, real estate brokerage, professional makeup, training for educators, certification in mediation and coaching and psychometric preparatory courses.

The Language Academy offers year-long abbreviated courses for the study of English, Spanish, Arabic, French, Greek and Yiddish.

The Katedra Ha’amamit offers classes and events in the fields of social sciences and the humanities including creative writing, philosophy, literature and poetry, museum tours, graphology, female empowerment, communications etc.  The Health Katedra offers courses in Reiki, reflexology, guided imagery, laughter yoga, etc.

The Computer School offers courses in computer subjects for beginners and advanced students.

The college also offers classes and activities in the fields of Israel Studies and Judaism and art and leisure:  Photography for beginners, the secrets of hospitality, makeup workshop, reading tarot cards, etc.

Beit Hamechanech offers Raanana educators courses in healthy exercise, Pilates, yoga, drawing, weight loss coaching, art, etc.

At the Center for Parenting and the Family, parenting courses are offered in cooperation with the Adler Institute as well as lectures on extensive topics such as practical parenting; how to speak to you children so they will listen and how to listen so your children will talk; a couples workshop, etc.
