: As part of the course, 6 mediators were trained in the field of family mediation and conflict settlement. The Couples and Family Therapy Clinic is a public service established by the Raanana Municipality’s Social Services Division and the Ministry of Welfare.
The 6-month course, included both theoretical and practical studies designed to train the mediators in various fields, by specializing in the field of family mediation and understanding the activity of the Couples and Family Therapy Clinic, where the mediators will work after they complete the course. The course was given by Dr. Ora Bar Gil, an attorney who specializes in conflict settlement and who is the director of the medication service offered at the clinic.
The Couples and Family Therapy Clinic currently provides unique services to Raanana residents, combining therapy and mediation. The mediation services take the family into account, including all the fields of personal status as well as the authorities of the Family Courts. The subjects related to mediation: Adoption, division of property, prenuptial agreement, divorce, intergenerational conflicts, family business, inheritance, surrogacy, foster families and mediation in criminal proceedings. The new service joins the couples and family therapy services offered at the clinic.
The mediation is designed to help the parties reach agreements and to provide therapists with the tools to cope with future conflicts in a more effective manner. The advantage of this process is that the parties are in control and direct the process and the agreements reached are made of their own free will.
The mediation services at the clinic are provided for a fee, based on the tariffs set by the Social Services Division. Address: 22 Kazan Street, Raanana.
