: The array was installed on the roof of the Agam School for children with special needs located in the Lev Hapark neighborhood and the energy is produced using photovoltaic cells.
The array was installed with the approval of the Electric Company and is expected to generate 50 kilowatts of electricity at its peak and in annual terms, 80,000 kilowatts. The electricity generated will be purchased by the Electric Company.
The array will also be connected to the information system on the internet and will serve students this coming year for study, monitoring and research of the subject.
Mayor Nahum Hofree: “The installation of the array is an additional step in the Raanana Municipality’s sustainable activity and we intend to install additional arrays on other schools to generate energy saving electricity.”
