: An exhibition entitled ‘Roads’ by artists Orit Etzioni and George Green will open at Raanana’s Gallery By the Lake. The exhibition introduces two artists who have been working together for a number of years, each with his or her own personal and unique style. They work together at the Raanana Country Club, in an art class, taught by teacher and artist Irit Glazer.
Orit Etzioni takes a discerning look at anonymous human figures, at different stags in their lives. The artist ‘freezes’ grey moments in their daily lives and creates a fascinating dialogue with them using color and dense formats. The personal and restless rhythm used by Orit leads the viewer to stop and take a different look at fleeting and routine situations in their lives.
George Green combines his two loves in this exhibition: hikes on Israeli terrain and painting. His artwork includes landscapes and people, which are translated into his picturesque, dynamic and flowing language. Using contrasting color splotches, George succeeds in fascinating the viewer, playing with light-shadow, introducing the viewer to the expanses of the Judean desert, the mysteries of the valleys and intriguing observation points.
The grand opening will be on Saturday night, 1.5.10, at 20:00, and attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree and Deputy Mayor Ronit Weintraub, director of Culture, Youth and Leisure Division.
