The Raanana Municipality will hold its annual IDF Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism Remembrance Day Ceremony, on Sunday, 18.4.10 at 20:00 at the Yad LaBanim Plaza.

The theme of this year’s ceremony is – “My Dear Student” – Stories told by teachers of Raanana schools about their students who fell in Israel’s battles.

The ceremony will be attended by Mayor Nahum Hofree and Raanana Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Peretz and representatives of the bereaved families.

Speaking at the ceremony will be Mr. Menahem Tamari, representative of the Yad LaBanim Organization and Ms. Carmela Rejuan, representative of the IDF Widows and Orphans Association.  This year, Ms. Nili Lifshitz, a bereaved mother, will light the memorial torch.

The ceremony will include songs sung by Carmel Eckman and the Sharonit Choir, accompanied by harpist, Olga Moitalis.

At the end of the ceremony, an evening of fighters’ songs will be held, led by Ilan Shas and musicians.
