:The gala opening will be held on Saturday night, 3.3.07, at 20:30 in the presence of Mayor Nahum Hofree and with the participation of Deputy Mayor Ronit Weintraub The three artists, Leah Schlesinger, Shosh Greenbaum and Esther Grommer have known each other for over 20 years and they have taken their artistic steps together.
Each of them is engaged in a different field in their private lives, they are very different from one another in terms of their personality; and nevertheless, there is a brave connection between them which was created through color. Esther Grommer: Her impressive illustrative language exposes her audience to a dynamic and energetic expression that focuses on subjects related to the human condition. Her spontaneous choice of color creates an intensive personal rhythm which is woven into all of her creations. The exhibition will display a number of her paintings created as a collage - which adds another dimension of depth and direct authentic materialism. The public is invited to discover the artist's direct, discerning and fascinating world. Leah Schlesinger: The artist's style straddles the line between the figurative and the abstract and she focuses on internal landscapes which are both provocative and serene at the same time. Her work draws the spectator into the rich inner world characterized by assertiveness and taking a stand on the one hand, and, on the other, innocence, yearning and romance of other places. Beyond the expressiveness, a certain restraint can be seen that is partially conceptualized by leaving a virgin background on the work surface, an experience which sweeps the spectator away to the artist's internal and emotional landscapes. Shosh Greenbaum: Using her introspection, the artist connects with the sources of her personal inspiration. She uses a unique artistic language that creates a balance between the dynamic provocative nature, on one hand, and peaceful quiet, on the other. The artist makes use of collages and natural fibers which connect her to the clean and real personal essence. Deep layers are revealed in a sensitive and fascinating way, which lead the spectator to identify with the artist's personal domain.
Exhibition Curator: Mina Biran The exhibition will be shown from 3.3.07 to 14.3.07. Hours: Sundays – Thursdays: 10:00 – 22:00, 17:00-22:00; Fridays: 10:00 – 17:00, 20:00-23:00 and Saturdays: 10:00-22:00.
