Raanana and Kfar Saba athletes, members of the Hapoel Hasharon Athletic Cadets and Youth League, displayed impressive achievements at the league's first session last week at the Hadar Yosef Athletics Stadium.

At the competition, over 400 athletes participated from all over the country, including 20 athletes from Raanana, who competed in the various categories.

As part of the cadets and youth light athletics league, girls and boys aged 15 -19 participated in the various athletics categories, including: running, long jump, shot-put, etc. The athletes participate in four sessions throughout the year.

The association's athletes displayed impressive results: In the 100 meter race for teenagers, Amir Kopler, a 12^th grade student at Raanana's MetroWest High School won with a score of 11.30 seconds; in the high jump for cadets, Roi Elyaim of Kfar Saba scored 1.90 meters; and in the 2000 meter race for girl cadets, Maor Tiyori won with a score of 6:42:43 minutes. Other impressive results were achieved in other categories, including: discus, shot-put and relays.

The next session will be held on Friday, 23.2.07 at Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv as part of the Israel Field Race Championship.
